Day 305 – S
This is the end of the chain that opens the flue for our fireplace. The dust on it gives it a soft look, almost like snow fell on it.
I am at day 305, just sixty days more to go. Two months! At the beginning of the year, the end seemed so far away. Now it seems like it’s just around the corner. BTW, day 305 means 54 (46, if you observe the Sabbath) more shopping days until Christmas. Of course, if you have been to Costco in the last month, you already knew Christmas is coming.

I like the contrast, too, and the shadowy parts in the lower r.h. corner which gives it an air of mystery. Nice shot indeed.
